Introduction

Voice calls are the traditional use of mobiles. Mobiles have the ability to call other cellphones, landlines or international lines where you can speak to a person on the other end.

Possible Reasons

  • New phone
  • Coverage
  • Credit (prepaid)

Steps

  • Is this a new phone? Have you ever made voice calls from this device - if you haven't - it may not have been set up correctly.
  • To determine coverage - usually looking in the top left or right hand corner will reveal a signal meter. If you have no signal on that meter, you will most likely experience issues.
  • If you have a prepaid connection, check your balance by calling *333. Try to have at least enough balance to make a voice call.

At this point, you'll need to call Telecom. Call 123 from your landline if you have a postpaid connection or 0800323232 if you have a prepaid connection.
